Our rating: 5 out of 5 blood thirsty stars

Review: First we do need to say this is for a mature audience. The Dead Beats is a short story which actually appears in Emma’ book Night Sighs a short story collection. This has to be one of the best short stories we’ve read in a long time. In a couple of pages Emma does what many authors can’t do in a whole book. She brings romance, heartbreak, fear, and even some steamy love making scenes. Tristan is one HOT and scary vampire. In a couple of page you see him go from a young in love vampire to a dark and jaded rock star. The music adds to the dark and sexy feel of this story. As a reader you find yourself wanting Alex to give in to Tristan’s love, but then fear for her and want her to run. This short story will take you on a whirlwind of emotions, and the ending will leave you wanting more. It will also make you want to read more of Emma’ books. We know we’ve added all of them to our list.

So grab yourself a drink and read The Dead Beats
