5 Romance Books to Snuggle With

Yes this is the week that we all will celebrate Valentine’s Day. Some of us will have someone to snuggle up with and some of us, well lets just say we will be wearing black and bashing all the couples. Either way this week is a perfect week to fall in love with fictional characters in our favorite romance books. Here are five books you should definitely snuggle with. They are in no particular order.

STORY: Brooke Winters has every second of her day planned out. She makes lists for the satisfaction of checking things off. When Marks Events and Weddings has an opening, she knows she’s perfect for the job. What she doesn’t expect is that the boss’s unkempt and full of bad attitude son will be the person she works most closely with. Nate Marks lost his fiancé and his best friend the moment he walked in on them sleeping together. He finds himself back at home in Las Vegas with his mother, taking photos for her wedding planning business instead of creating a portfolio to show at art galleries. Heartbroken and lost, Nate couldn’t care less about how he’s perceived by wedding clients… or the newest hire, Brooke. When Brooke finds Nate at the office passed out and hung over, she quickly fixes him up to look presentable for their meetings. Nate spills about his broken relationship, and soon their clashed personalities balance each other out. But when they both discover there might be more between them, they panic. Brooke’s determined to live life on her schedule, which never included a relationship with a co-worker or friend, and with Nate still aching over the girl he thought he’d spend his life with—they’re both about to lose a love they never expected to find.

OUR RATING: 5 out of 5 Romeo and Juliet Stars

REVIEW: We have been huge fans of the Heart Waves series by Danielle Sibariun since the first book came out. With each book in the series we have fallen deeper in love with the characters. And the final book Waves of Love does not disappoint. We actually all read this book twice because it’s that good. Many heated arguments were had over wine. Two of us are team Reece. He is amazing and after breaking our hearts to the point of blinding tears in Breaking Waves we were so excited to see his return. Reece makes everything better. The other two of us are team Tyler. There’s just something about the bad boy that makes us go wild. Tyler is hard to trust at first but Waves of Love he redeems himself and even made us cry. Jenna grows a lot in this final book too. We really get to see how much she loves both of these guys. This book has it all: love, suspense, moments that make you hold your breathe, and even sexy scenes. Danielle is in an amazing writer and her talent really shines in Waves of Love. If you haven’t read this series yet you must. You will fall in love with this adaptation of true love.

So cozy up on the couch with Waves of Love

A Life, Redefined (A Rowan Slone Novel) by Tracy Hewitt Meyer

Story: Seven years ago, an innocent act by Rowan Slone turned her life into a nightmare. Since the age of ten she’s lived with the burden of her baby brother’s death. Now she is seventeen and all she wants to do is graduate high school, go to college, and escape the loveless family she has endured all these years—the same family that holds her responsible for his death. But no one holds her responsible more than herself. When long-time crush Mike Anderson invites her to the Prom, suddenly her future looks brighter. Rowan’s younger sister, Trina, however, is determined to ruin her new-found happiness, no matter the cost. And when Rowan discovers her mother’s long-held secret, she finds herself teetering on the edge of an abyss. Can Rowan find the strength to move toward the future or is she doomed to dwell in the past?

Our Review: 5 out of 5 overcoming stars

Review: This book was gripping from the first page to the last. Rowan goes through so much your heart can’t help but break for her as it also cheers for her. Tracy does an incredible job bringing a spotlight to many issues teens have out there in the real word. One of them being cutting. So many teens deal with this issue. A Life, Redefined does a great job showing there’s hope and help to get through it. We love how Rowan doesn’t just give up and let things happen to her. She fights through her struggles, which trust us there are many, to better her life in a way. As serious as this book is there were times we actually laughed and smiled. Rowan was so realistic many times we wanted to grab her and giver her a hug. Tracy is an amazing writer, who will have you feeling every emotion in the book as you read it. This is a compelling story you will not want to put down. The surprise at the ends tells us there might be a sequel and we can’t wait.

So grab a box of tissues and read A Life, Redefined

Boyfriend of the Month

We are back with our Boyfriend of the Week, but now we are doing Boyfriend of the Month. We believe a good boyfriend should at least last a month.

Our first boyfriend of the month is Travis Maddox from Walking Disaster by Jamie McGuire. We must admit at first we were not a fan of Travis in Beautiful Disaster, but then his side of the story came out and we fell in love. Travis is the type of guy who will always open the door for you. He will hold your hair back as you throw up after too much drinking. He drives a Harley and can defend you from anyone. Sure he’s a player, but once you capture his heart he is truly devoted to you. He’ll even tattoo his pet name for you on his wrist. Yes he at times can be overbearing, but his loving heart will remind you why he’s the person you love. Travis is sexy and sweet. He’s a bad boy full of tattoos that’ll steal your heart away.

To My Hero: A Blog of Our Journey Together By Danielle Sibarium

Story: It would’ve been different if I had courage, even an ounce of it. But I was a coward from the day I met you, Ryan Crowley. I still am. In the end, it doesn’t matter. The bottom line is the same. It’s my fault. When the unthinkable happens, Carly Cavanough is left beaten, betrayed, and devastated. Her best friend doesn’t understand. Her parents won’t listen. Everyone in her life turns against her. She’s completely alone, except for Ryan Crowley, the boy she’s been crushing on for years. She won’t admit to him what she can’t admit to herself. But he understands without words. He knows more about what she’s going through than she can possibly imagine and he knows what it will take for the healing to begin. With Ryan’s help, Carly begins to piece together the fragments of her once perfect life and embark on a journey of love and healing, just long enough for the rug to be pulled out from under her again. Can she find the strength and will to pull herself together to save Ryan and herself when their lives are on the line?

Our Rating: 5 out of 5 Heroic Stars

Review: Danielle has done it again writing a story with so much emotions. Rape is a rough subject to talk about and we imagine it’s just as hard to write about. The way Carly is raped and beaten took our breathe away and brought chilling tears to our eyes. Too many of us know someone or is someone who’s been rape. As hard as it is to read about the rape it is a wonderful ride to read what comes next. We are not saying that all that comes next is roses in fact it’s the oppisite. We get to see Carly struggle with the aftermath of her attack. Her issues with trust is such a great representation of what many women go through after such an attack. We also get to see what an amazing and loving character Ryan is. Give us a moment to swoon. Ryan will take over your heart and you will be thinking about him even when you are not reading the book. Look for him to be our boyfriend of the week soon. We will say it does take a while to get used of reading the POV from 1st person to 2nd person, but before you know it you’ll find yourself not noticing. This a heart wrenching, tear jerker, wonderfully written story.
